I live in a beautiful RV resort in the winter. The business that runs two RV resorts in Tucson is giving discounts to people if they are referred by a "friend" living in the park. Both of these parks are rated very high in Trailer Life. - Links and Sites for RV Campers
Here are some links to sites that are popular with many RV owners and campers. the list can be handy for resolving problems when traveling around the country.
Disclaimer
The discount offer is given at the discretion of Rincon Country RV Resort owners. I am allowed to offer this discount to my "friends" and you will need to use my name to receive the discount. The discount may be terminated at anytime. I cannot insure which space you will be given so check with the office when you make your reservation. They do use some spaces in amongst the park models. I love these spaces but you may not. Be clear about where they will park you.
While I am confident that you will love this park, I do not guarantee your happiness or satisfaction. Life is what you make of it...sorry!
I encourage you to contact me soon. The two resorts owned by the company fill during high season. I will give you my name and the number to call. You do all the rest! I am hoping to make new friends when you arrive.
RV Resort Living 10/10*/10
In the last 10 years RV resorts have come into their own. Even our state parks offer some very luxurious spots in their parks. You can park your RV on a million dollar piece of property for a couple of week and then move on. I loved doing that.
In the park where we live the RV spaces are gorgeous. The park has upgraded them with beautiful tables and benches. The vines and palm trees grace every space. Each space has a concrete patio and a paved parking spot. They are located near to the park models but are very open and uncrowded. You get the best of both world...the social activities are all at your disposal and the residents of the park are friendly and love to show you what wonderful life they have.
If you opt for a lesser space I think you will be charged less. You need to always ask what is available at your site when you make reservations in any park.
When you see the 10/10/10 rating mentioned in the RV park ad, you know you have a real winner. My park is a 9.5/10/10 and that is extraordinary in the RV world. Trailer Life Directory is the source for this rating and the high numbers are coveted in the RV resort world. The second park owned by this company has a 10/10/10 rating. I actually don't pay much attention to the blurb put out by the parks...I only refer to the numbers.
RV Travel or Park Model Living...affordable life style?
The question people seem to focus on when it come to living a vagabond life style always has to do with money. My husband and I have traveled and lived up to 6 month a year away from our full time residence. I think I can speak with some authority on the subject of "second home" costs. Let me tell you what I know.
First of all you need to know that nothing is free. In order for you to afford the second residence no matter how modest, you are going to have to come up with some cold hard cash! That is just the way it is.
But you can buy a really cute park model in a RV Resort in Tucson Arizona for less than $10,000. In some cases a lot less. All you need to do is be a little creative and you can live very stylishly and comfortably. We have done it.
We do not own the property that our park model sits on but rent our space at a cost of around $4200 per year. Yikes...I can hear you now. But just consider the possibilities. Some people actually buy these, live in them a few month a year and rent them during high season for over $2000 a month. By doing this they have cut their rent a great deal. If you have managed to score one of the park models for less than $5000 and pay cash, then the rent simply becomes the cost of living away from home. Over the year it works out to about $375 a month. Imagine a 6 month vacation for $375 a month over a 12 month period. If you travel at all, you realize that you are getting a lot for your money.
We do not see this second home as a necessity or an investment. It is just gift we give ourselves and we will do this as long as we can afford it and are physically able to enjoy it.
